In their responses to FEW, the tax services in Buziaș and Lugoj describe verifying domicile by reading the electronic identity card (CEI), without separately recording the number of these checks.

What the document contains
At regional level, the Timișoara Regional General Directorate of Public Finance reports four readers installed, one at each of the county administrations in Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin and Hunedoara. Timiș Health Insurance House states that CEI use at the counter is distinct from validation of healthcare services and that its contracted providers did not validate such services using the CEI in the period 12 February – 11 August 2026.
