Republishing documents
The documents are here to be read, checked and used. Below are the rules for reproducing them and a citation template.
Documents in the archive
You may download and distribute the copies published by the Foundation, subject to the legal rules applicable to each item and personal data protection. Official texts of a political, legislative, administrative or judicial nature are subject to the exclusion from copyright protection under Article 9(b) of Law No. 8/1996. The Foundation does not claim copyright in these texts.
The fact that a document was disclosed under Law No. 544/2001 does not mean that all its elements are free of third-party rights. Check the notices in the document and on its document page, particularly for photographs, works or annexes originating from other persons. The rules below do not limit uses permitted directly by law.
Texts written by the Foundation
Summaries, explanations, guides and other original texts written by the Freies Europa Weltanschauung Foundation for this website are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, unless otherwise stated.
You may copy, redistribute, translate and adapt them, including for commercial purposes. Credit the Foundation and the source, include a link to the licence and indicate whether you have made changes. Do not suggest that the Foundation endorses your activity or interpretation. Do not impose additional restrictions on the rights granted by the licence.
The Foundation’s name and logo, and material in which third parties hold rights, are not included in this licence. The Foundation may still be named to identify the source correctly, as permitted by law.
The map’s administrative boundaries come from Eurostat/GISCO data: © EuroGeographics for administrative boundaries. These are subject to the specific rules on the use of geographical data, separately from the licence for FEW texts.
Preserve context and protect individuals
- Distribute the anonymised copy available on the website. Do not remove the redactions or add data identifying protected individuals without an applicable legal basis.
- If you publish an extract, a translation or a modified version, make this clear and retain a link to the full document.
- Do not present your own adaptation as the original document or the Foundation’s position.
- Check the document page for limitations of the copy, missing pages or obscured text. An OCR transcription helps with searching but may contain errors; the document image is the reference for verification.
- For official documents, citing the source is recommended for verifiability. For FEW texts licensed under CC BY 4.0, attribution is a condition of the licence.
These recommendations on context and the protection of individuals do not modify the CC BY 4.0 licence. Each user or publisher must assess personal data processing and other individual rights separately, in accordance with the law.
How to cite
[Issuing institution], ‘[Document title]’, [year]. Copy published by the Freies Europa Weltanschauung Foundation: [document page address], accessed on [date].
For official documents, name the issuing institution first. For explanations written by the Foundation, identify the Foundation as the author.
For a FEW summary, add: ‘FEW text, CC BY 4.0. [Details of any changes.]’
Each document page in the catalogue has a ‘Copy citation’ button that fills in the title, institution, year and document address.
Access for research and AI agents
The catalogue is available in JSON or CSV format. Each document page identifies the document, the available source and the link to the published copy. The same rules on attribution, verification and the protection of individuals also apply to automated use. Consult the information on the document pages, download responsibly and use the documents’ stable addresses. Information on re-use and contact is available in JSON format.
For research or cooperation proposals, write to office@freies-europa.ro and describe the organisation or person represented, the project’s purpose, the relevant documents and the proposed outcome. An automatically submitted proposal must identify the responsible person or organisation.
Errors, rights or requests concerning a document
Write to office@freies-europa.ro or use the Contact page. Include the document page address and describe the problem. For an anonymisation issue, specify the page and relevant area without publicly retransmitting the personal data.
